The notebook

A note that finds its passage again, ten years later

A note anchors to a REFERENCE - John 3.16, 63-0901M §142, Song 214 · Chorus - never to a position in the text. It therefore survives a reimport, a change of version, a typo fix.

Highlighting without a word is the most common note of all. Three colours: to revisit, for study, answered.

Search for a word in your own language

466,653 verses indexed with THEIR own language dictionary, not the French one. Searching « te » in Lingala returns nearly ten thousand verses; with a French index it returned none at all.

Fifteen languages, fifteen dictionaries
Nine have a native dictionary; the other six search for the exact word, with no foreign rule wrongly applied to them.
The count before the results
« 121 verses » appears before the list, and the order is the Bible's own. You know what is in front of you and what remains.
What is not ours is not carried away
A sermon excerpt is bounded, and text served by VGR Online is never stored. Your own songs print without restriction.

What Meditation does not do

A reading module is judged as much by what it refuses as by what it offers.

What we do
  • Read the Bible in fifteen languages and switch version without losing your page
  • Write, highlight, find again and print your notebook
  • Resume where you stopped, from one device to another
  • Search the verses as well as the sermons
What we do not do
  • No sharing: a note cannot be sent and cannot be published
  • The pastor does not read members' notes, and neither do we
  • No streaks, no badges, no consecutive-day counter
  • The Message is open only to churches that declare themselves churches of the Message

The other modules

They share the same people and the same permissions: what is entered in one is read by the others, without typing it again.
